The Peoria Bach Festival celebrates the music, life, and faith of one of history's greatest composers, Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). Now entering its third decade, it has been held annually during the first week of June since 2003. The festival is a collaborative effort featuring musicians from all around Central Illinois and the surrounding regions. Not only does it showcase Peoria's own musicians, but it also seeks to encourage and disciple a new generation of musicians while at the same time attracting national and international talent. Founded and hosted for 20 years by Trinity Lutheran Church. Beginning in 2023 festival moved to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1420 W. Moss Ave., Peoria, Illinois. Over its twenty years The Peoria Bach Festival has received grants from the Trinity Foundation and the Illinois Arts Council through the Community Foundation of Illinois. However, it is funded primarily by concert revenue and individual donors. If you have not had an opportunity to donate to this year’s festival, visit our DONATE page.
